This Privacy Policy describes how Zach Soudan ("I," "me," or "my") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit this portfolio website (the "Site").
This Site does not collect personally identifiable information unless you voluntarily provide it, by email or through the contact form. I do not use third-party advertising technologies.
If you send a message through the contact form, I receive the name, email address and message you enter. The form is handled by Netlify, which hosts this Site: it delivers your message to me by email and keeps a copy in its form dashboard. A hidden field and Netlify’s own filter screen out automated spam. I use your message only to reply to you, and I will delete it on request.
This Site uses privacy-focused analytics to understand how portfolio content is viewed. Data collected may include: pages visited, time spent per section, scroll depth, device and browser type, approximate geographic location (city/country level, derived from IP address), and referral source. Access credentials used to enter password-protected sections may be associated with the individual or organization to whom they were provided, allowing viewing activity to be linked to those credentials. This data is used to improve the portfolio experience and understand how work is evaluated.
If you interact with the AI-powered portfolio assistant on this Site, your queries are processed via the Anthropic API. No conversation data is stored by me or retained beyond your browser session.
Any information you provide through direct contact (such as your name or email address) is used solely to respond to your inquiry. I do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for marketing purposes.
This Site may load fonts from Google Fonts and assets from content delivery networks. These services operate under their own privacy policies. The AI assistant is powered by Anthropic's Claude API; queries you submit are subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy. Contact-form messages are processed by Netlify under Netlify's Privacy Policy.
This Site may use minimal cookies to support analytics functionality. These cookies do not track you across other websites and are not used for advertising. Essential browser storage may be used to support interactive features and is not shared with any third party.
Analytics data associated with access credentials is retained for a reasonable period to support portfolio evaluation and improvement. Any email correspondence is retained only as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was sent. You may request deletion of any data associated with your visit by contacting zach@soudan.cc.

You agree not to: (a) scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract content from this Site; (b) use any content for training AI or machine learning models without explicit written consent; (c) capture or reproduce any visual content including but not limited to screenshots, screen recordings, photographs of screens, or any other means of duplication; (d) reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from this Site; (e) remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices; (f) share access credentials with unauthorized parties.
